About

A technical foundation, applied with project discipline.

Technical Project Manager based in Vienna, with 7+ years of cross-border delivery across the railway and telecommunications sectors. Trained as an electronic engineer; experienced as a system engineer; recognised by Tier-1 operators for end-to-end execution under mission-critical SLA constraints. The path through AKKA Technologies, Comtest Wireless International and Kontron Transportation has been a continuous deepening of the same craft — running complex IT infrastructure work in environments that do not tolerate downtime.

Origin

A technical foundation with a strategic mindset.

During my Master's in Electronic Engineering for Telecommunications at Università degli Studi Roma Tre, my thesis research focused on the use of mobile networks for railway signalling — assessed from both performance and financial perspectives. It was an early indication of the working method I have applied ever since: technical insight grounded in strategic, project-oriented thinking.

The same instinct has guided every subsequent step — choosing assignments where the engineering and the delivery have to succeed together, never one at the expense of the other.

Career

From international graduate programmes to mission-critical delivery.

  1. Jul 2018 — Jul 2019 Geneva · Paris

    International Graduate Consultant

    AKKA Technologies — AKKAdemy Programme

Selected for AKKA Technologies' international graduate programme. Coordinated an EU-funded 5G research project, managing technical deliverables across multinational teams and reporting to senior stakeholders — early grounding in structured project delivery and cross-cultural coordination. Contributed to a fibre-optic network planning project for Covage in Paris, supporting technical design and delivery using GIS tools — first exposure to large-scale IT infrastructure rollout management.

  2. Sep 2019 — May 2022 Turin, IT

Project Manager / Technical Account Manager

    Comtest Wireless International

Owned end-to-end technical service delivery for Tier-1 international clients — SBB (Switzerland), Network Rail (UK), Bane NOR (Norway), Banedanmark (Denmark) — handling escalations and stakeholder relationships across diverse cultural and business contexts. Led the crisis response for a critical client account, coordinating a multidisciplinary team to resolve a high-severity service failure and retain a €250,000 contract within SLA — structured incident management under pressure. Designed and delivered post-sales technical training programmes for international client teams, supporting long-term account expansion. Drove continuous process improvement that increased operational efficiency by 15%, earning expanded project leadership responsibilities.

  3. Jun 2022 — Present Vienna, AT

IT Infrastructure Project Manager / System Engineer

    Kontron Transportation

Lead a regional infrastructure modernisation programme across four European railway operators: end-to-end VM-to-OpenShift cluster migrations for ÖBB (Austria), SZDC (Czech Republic), SZ (Slovenia), and ZSR (Slovakia) — each in live production with zero SLA impact and zero service disruption. Responsible end-to-end for every migration: author the customer-specific Migration MOP, lead the preparation phase, and coordinate cross-functional teams of 4–6 engineers through go-live, with application owners embedded as domain specialists. The Migration MOP I authored is used as the reference framework across the programme and has been handed off to at least four additional migration teams. Currently leading a large-scale tooling migration: transferring 2,300+ test cases and 2,100+ acceptance tests from in-step Blue into Jira, designing the Confluence knowledge structure, and engineering the import automation script — preserving full data integrity and audit traceability across mission-critical validation assets. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Tier-1 client stakeholders, translating engineering progress into executive-level reporting and maintaining full audit-readiness.

2025 — Senior-Market Positioning

Senior-market positioning, validated by unsolicited inbound.

In early 2025 I briefly tested the senior-contracting market with a registered EPU in Austria. The exercise produced unsolicited inbound interest from two independent recruitment processes: a long-term IT programme management contract with the European Commission in Luxembourg (€630/day, 7–10 year horizon), and a defence-sector engagement with Thales Belgium via VeroTech. Both processes were ultimately not concluded for external and logistical reasons — not for fit or qualification. The pattern is part of why this site exists: to make the same calibre of conversation easier to reach.

Alongside, I invested in targeted professional development to keep the senior delivery skill set sharp — Strategic Negotiation & Game Theory (Yale SOM / Coursera), Financial Markets (Yale SOM / Coursera), and Agile Project Management (Google / Coursera).

Bring me into the next delivery.

Whether the conversation is about a permanent role or a future engagement, the answer to the same question is the same: how do we get this to go-live without surprises.
